How to make a functional/interactive navigation bar in blogger

For those of you who don't follow me in any of my accounts (please do so hehe), I have been switching from Blogger to Wordpress, and now back to Blogger for years. I thought gaining some knowledge and insights in Wordpress would make blogging in Blogger easy, and I was totally wrong.

For today's post, I'd like to stress out that using Blogger is difficult. Don't get me wrong, it offers a lot of versatility, and it host's for free, but d*amn, it's difficult. I just spent 2 hours figuring out how to make a functional or interactive navigation bar in Blogger. Yes, that's 2 hours compared to the drag-and-drop feature of Wordpress.

In Wordpress, you get the standard menu bar, now, I had to learn to understand HTML codes and tags. I'm not a programmer or have any background on CSS or HTML. However, I already have a bit of experience when I worked with the hubby on one of the sites we designed, which is HiGi.biz.

So, back to my dilemma. I had to search for the code because, as what I've said, I have no idea about this. Luckily, thanks to a lot of published tutorials, I was able to make one for my blog. The next step is to figure out how to design my navigation bar. We'll, I'd probably think about that later, for now, I'm just happy it's functioning, that's it.

For those who are also struggling like me, here's a simple tutorial I found on how to make a horizontal navigation bar in HTML. Actually, I just copied the code and changed the link targets. I'm really not sure what I'm talking about lol! Better check the instructions at Building an Interactive Navigation Bar.

Forgive me if I used the wrong terms or words, I'm still starting to get a grasp of all of this ;)
